A viral marketing strategy is basically to get users to transmit to each other a certain message. And that message is so well accepted that people start to pass, similar to how viruses spread by the proximity of people.
They do it because it’s fun, unusual, provocative, is important or because it confers a benefit and want their well known ‘knowledge. Can be friends, relatives or work colleagues, everyone loves to share with someone who has just discovered something and so on.
The fundamental basis behind viral marketing is a known fact that there is no better marketing tool than word of mouth. “This is because the best products are not sold if they fail to reach the hearts and public interest, and then the goal is to make people talk about “my brand.” Setting this open and honest communication is therefore the most effective alternative because it has credibility because of the source from which it comes, because people believe more in the people you know that more formal channels of promotion.
Formerly, the marketing was unidirectional and revolved around the product or service from the company, but now with social networking and marketing 2.0, companies seek an open relationship, long term and return with consumers, where the company has an almost secondary role and simply start the triggers for it to expand exponentially among consumers.
Throughout history, business has undergone many changes either in their structure, their markets, their modus operandi and are essentially handled by administrators. Today, thanks to the development of techniques, models and methods they have evolved in such a way that is almost necessary to automate and integrate processes to achieve the desired goals.
Since the dawn of the industrial revolution to today’s globalization, business has required special handling and routing. The so-called administrators, must be highly trained and updated with the latest trends in management and development, the company does not stagnate in a sea of red and be devoured by its competitors.
The purpose of a business has been, is and will remain: making money, which is done to meet the needs of their customers and for this it is necessary to support decision-making of management with accurate, timely and current.
In the old days, this information system was in “a pure pencil”, which were managed by highly experienced people within the company and even their field. They became almost indispensable for the management of the business, in fact, know the processes, rules and procedures for the procurement, manufacturing, marketing, sales and every part of the supply chain. So if this person was absent, one could say that the company did not work as expected, the information contained in documents, purchase orders / sales invoices, spreadsheets, etc., was not always available to the administrator or often not was accessible to the time to act. Everything was fine but could do better, ie, timeliness and effectiveness.
Over the years, the emergence of new computing technologies, communications and storage, led to a radical change in the way administrators manage those same processes, but now automated.
Automating processes is nothing that the restructuring of the same generating cost savings and increased productivity, which in some cases is reflected in the final product quality. Those same processes that were previously sustained in the minds of managers, now became more simple and routine thanks to information technology. Read the rest of this entry »
According to security blog, 90% of email is spam. I was somewhat surprised that the number of email spam was so loud. Most email I get and I’m sure many of you also are emails that are trying to sell pharmaceuticals such as Viagra and Cialis far below market value.
Most alarming from a marketing perspective is how many emails are sent daily and the number of victims to buy in these marketing scams. Let’s do some math based on the average email marketing.
If spammers are sending 10 million emails a day, of an estimated 2% of people receiving click on the links in the email.
10,000,000 emails of which 15% are open (1.5 million) 2% then they click (30,000) and only 0.6% say effective by an order (600) of people who clicked on a link in e-mail.
The spammer’s product sells for $ 29.95. That equates to over $ 17,000 that these spammers are pocketing. That’s a lot of money for something that takes very little effort.
As you can see, spam is big business and it is so difficult to stop.
The most common Spam
- Sales of pharmaceutical and other product offerings
- Lottery scams also known as Nigeria 419
- Phishing – cybercriminals send notification to update or verify account information. These cyber criminals to set up sites that seem to mock the legitimate online banking sites to collect personal information to steal money from one victim bank or PayPal account.
